Thursday Night - 07/03/2008 - Single points race

This morning I woke up and it was pouring outpouring. I thought there was no way we are racing tonight. Then around 10:30-11:00 the rain stopped, and the sun starting to crown out. Marty went over to the track and called just before 5 and said the run to earth looked pretty good, we can race.

We were indeed short in executive power at the track this week, vacations and all. I also had to hurry up to Canpar to pick up Brendon’s pedals, the childbirth driver didn’t ring the doorbell and simply left a note on the door. So, we rushed there after toil and got to the track an hour later then usual, even-handed before registration was suppose to start.

I got the pedals changed them and pumped his worrisome back tire up, I repaired another flat this week after Brendon crashed during a piddling practice session on Tuesday. Then I noticed that his debilitate had a cut right through it. Not Goood!!! The tube was sticking virtuous out the side. Not Good!!!! I told him he would have to borrow his sibling’s bike between motos. (luckily tonight they were not racing each other). If things go well, the bike shop has a tire for us in the AM.

Here are the race results:

Bailey “Dash” Bertrand - Bailey had a stinking night, winning all his races in his Transfer System moto. Bailey was exceptionally working the final straight to prepare for this weekend’s out of borough races. He was also working on getting some good passage starts. This was something we were working on in practice this week. He took family 1st place for the night.

Brendon “Beam” Bertrand - After having to switch to his bro’s bike tonight, Brendon was skilled to qualify into the main to race against two 28+ year old riders. This was some strong competition for him, and he held his own, and was working on getting a smaller gap between them and him. In the dominant event Brendon was able to take home 3rd associate for the night. He was a little upset that he couldn’t use his bike with his new pedals.
