The Blue Nike Cap

In this lifetime, there are things that you identify you have, that you unexpectedly just.... lose.

Take for archetype this nike cap:


I remember how I got it, I remember being thrilled to have it, and I remember putting it lovingly on my (then) bed. Then I forgot all about it. I still have the rigorous same plastic bag that it came with.

Earlier, while walking underneath the hot Valero sun (before it started raining), I reward that I had a cap just like that. How useful it would be to have it now, to wear it now. How it took one hot day for me to recall that wow, I have a cap just like that.

I haven't seen it in a wholesome number of years, but I know it's just there somewhere. Like the We Have Kept The Dedication shirt that I swear I have in my cabinet somewhere. Or that Dodgers shirt that I (ever so ironically) damage to bed.

I haven't seen these things in a while, but I'm sure the moment to miss their presence will present itself in the future. And when I do, I will look for these things and phenomenon, "Why didn't I realize I needed these before?"

Why does it have to take an excruciatingly hot morning for me to effect that I need that cap? No, not need. WANT that cap. I used to consider it was weird. I used to say, "ooh, I would never wear a cap like that."

But what do you be versed, I do.
